Join glass artist Daniel Pruitt to create two fused pendants that include cord selections. You will be able to select from a range of various glasses including transparent, opalescent, iridescent and dichroic glass.
The workshop begins with a PowerPoint presentation that provides step-by-step instructions. Daniel will then demonstrate his techniques to get you started. You will select from several styles of cords to set off your creation that will be fused and ready within a week for you to wear and enjoy.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Daniel Pruitt is a glass fusing artist and teacher with close to two decades of glass fusing and teaching experience. He has regularly taken part in a dozen summer art festivals during the past seven years in northeast Ohio, including Cain Park, Boston Mills, Lakewood and Medina to name a few. He exhibits regularly in Group Gallery Shows including the Gallery Ten Annual show, The Chagrin Valley Fine Arts Center, and The Artists Archives of Cleveland, Ohio. His work is in the Collection of the Friends of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Dan’s studios and Gallery are located at the Lake Erie Screw Factory in Lakewood.

Each participant will create an impressionistic painting on glass using powdered glass frits. You will be able to select from a range of frits to add color and enhance your original painting. Subject matter ranges from floral to lighthouses, forest scenes and may focus on a favorite animal interpreted impressionistically.
Glasses range from fine powders to medium size frits the size of rock crystals. You will create on a 4” x 8 ½” white glass substrate. The workshop will be introduced with a PowerPoint, step-by-step presentation followed with examples and an artist demonstration.
