Create a 3-D object from a fmous work of art! In this 6 week class, you will learn different hand-bult sculpture techniques to make three-dimensional objects from your favorite paintings or drawings!
You will need to bring in print outs of 3-5 of your favorite paintings and choose objects from each to make three-dimensional replications.
*Class includes 25# of clay, studio glazes, and firing.

Instead of using glaze, this method creates unique pieces by dunking them into a mixture of flour and water while the pottery is red-hot, making it so no two pieces are alike. If you smell bread after the firings, you know you’ve done something right! Work will be permanent and not edible (though it might smell like it!)
The cost is $100 per person, which includes both workshops, all materials, firings, studio tools, and clay. This workshop is open to both hand builders and wheel throwers of all skill levels.

Have you viewed the viral Facebook video going around where you just place your paint brush on the clay and the color spreads out everywhere making little ferns or peacock feathers? Have you wanted try this technique? Thanks to this one-day workshop, you can try it yourself! Students will slab build trays using GR forms (molds for forming clay), and then decorating them yourselves. This technique works for both low fire and high fire.
No experience necessary and open to all ages.
